VISIT OF DIR EDILBERTO PARADELA D ENGR OSCAR MA RE DOST PROJECT


DOST AND ASKEDWELL CENTER HAS IDENTIFIED THE NEED FOR WATER TANKS EITHER IN PLASTIC OR CEMENT TO CONSERVE OR IMPOUND WATER FOR DAILY USE AND SUPPORT THE HORTICULTURE PROJECT. ON THE FOLLOWING PICTURES ARE THE DISTRIBUTION OF 200 LITER PLASTIC CONTAINERS TO THE SALING IT TRAINEES .  BARANGAY CAPTAIN ABDIAS C. RETUERTO , KAGAWAD ALEXANDER COLE AND TRAINEES ACCEPTED A CONTAINERS TO SUPPORT THE VEGETABLE PRODUCTION PROGRAM.  TAKE NOTE THAT THE AREA IS ABOVE SEA LEVEL AND ROCKY.   THIS AREA IS SUITABLE FOR PLANTING BREADFRUIT AS THIS TREE CAN WITHSTAND DROUGHT AND STRONG WINDS. THE FRUITS CAN BE A GOOD SOURCE OF ALTERNATIVE FOOD BOTH FOR ANIMALS AND PEOPLE. 





DIR. EDILBERTO PARADELA OF DOST 7 VISITED THE HINTERLANDS OF BONGDO BORBON TO ASSESS THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE COMMUNITY PROGRAM ON INCLUSIVE GROWTH AND AWARENESS ON THE COMING OF LA NINA AFTER THE DROUGHT . CLIMATE CHANGE IS A REALITY AND THE COMMUNITY MUST PREPARE FOR THIS

MR. LAGNASON JR. OF SALING-IT , BONGDO , BORBON  MADE A FISHPOND USING THE TECHNOLOGY ON ABOVE GROUND LOW COST FISH POND.. A FERROCEMENT POND WILL BE INSTALLED TO MAKE THE POND LAST LONGER. THE WATER CABBAGE IS USED IN SILAGE TO FEED ANIMALS THEREBY REDUCING COST OF FEEDS. THESE ARE THE TECHNOLOGIES WHICH ARE EASILY LEARNED BY FARMERS AND INTEGRATING THE COMPETENCIES OF ANIMAL PRODUCTION, HORTICULTURE AND AQUACULTURE. OF ASKEDWELL CENTER
