Upon arrival at Melbourne airport on May 20, 2016 at 8:00 pm, I was met by the President of Cebuano Association of Australia. We then proceeded to the residence of Nokie and Liling Lontayao, a schoolmate in Don Bosco Technical High School and a friend Presiano "Presing". I am grateful with the way the group of Boy and Fe Lawa welcomed me in Australia.
The anniversary on May 21, 2016, where I was guest speaker was also the oath taking ceremony of new officers of the Cebuano Association of Australia, Inc.
The new officers are: President Mr. Harold Mollaneda, Vice President Mr. Cecile Tarona, Secretary Ms. Susanna Norris, Treasurer Mrs Lyn Montera, Auditor Ms. Nelia Ciar, PRO Ms. Gina Chalupa. Congratulations. I am informed that the organization, holds election every two years, to give opportunity to all members to volunteer their services for the association.
On Sunday May 22, 2016 ,we attended holy mass at Our Lady's Church. The community together with the priest blessed Boy and Fe Lawa's 40th wedding anniversary.
The Lawa children have grown up and building up their life as Australian citizens.
God bless the Cebuanos in Australia. May their tribe increase in peace and harmony.
